“ Great food and excellent service! Make sure to leave room (or take out) for some of the homemade desserts and cakes they have available. We tried the hummingbird cake and the apple cobbler, and both were so good! ”
“ Don’t worry about the outward appearance of this place. Ignore that and go right in and give it a try. They serve up some really good food and the staff are very friendly. Note: it’s not far from the end of the Swamp Rabbit Trail; bicyclists can go an extra mile and fuel up their bodies for the return trip down to Greenville. ”

I love the old fashioned places & I always know with places like this the food is going to be good! Mr John hands down you got the best burger in the Upstate! This small place is a BIG GEM ! I had my mouth set on a juicy delicious burger & you provided everything I expected! On the way I was checking out the burgers posted on maps and it stole me instantly! I ordered the smoked Gouda Pimento cheese Bacon cheeseburger and my lord yes you gotta cut them burgers in half! It was delicious! I recommend 10/10! The fries were delicious and they don't need any seasoning to me, they are old fashioned cut home fries and they are delicious! I put vinegar on my fries and it took my back to the fair days I have had in Shelby NC with the vinegar fries. You nailed those fries! I also ordered Onion rings and they were delicious as well. My friend got the country fried steak and gravy mash potatoes and gravy and Mac and cheese, and the slaw is perfect. It's creamy mayonnaise based and vinegar and I love it! We also got a hunk of chocolate cake which I was stuffed and could only take a couple bites of but it was delicious. I want the hummingbird cake when I come back it was sold out but I just know it's good! I also ordered 2 hotdogs to go and I ate them later that night. They were slamming! Thank you Amber for making those and providing good service to us! I met some good people over the weekend here and I'll definitely be back to see you! I also signed and put my 1 on the wall as you walk in it's right to the right! CarolinasSweetTea!! I can't wait to come back and see y'all! Everything was delicious! You deserve 5 stars and I'd give 100 if it was a choice! Out of all the places I've been here in the upstate this topped it off. The Best! I'm a country woman so I fit right on in here! “ Northwest Grill is a funky little burger joint that should be on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives! A buddy took me here when we coming back from a little hike in the area a few weeks ago. The place is an old gas station/ convenience store that's been converted into a tiny restaurant. There's not anything fancy about it. I got one of the burger plates, and it was one of the best burgers I've had in awhile! The bacon was crisp, the burger was juicy and seasoned perfectly. And the fries were delicious, you could tell the oil was fresh because you didn't taste that old fry oil flavor in the fries. The people there were very friendly and the service was top notch. You couldn't ask for a better experience. If you're anywhere near the area and craving a good burger, you can't go wrong with Northwest Grill. ”
“ We traveled from Louisiana to South Carolina and were looking for some GOOD food like we are used to back home. Reddit said they had “the best burgers” and they weren’t lying! We also tried the country fried steak, Mac n cheese, and collard greens. Everything was delicious! The staff was super friendly and welcoming. The prices were reasonable and there was no wait. They offered a variety of desserts, but we were so stuffed that we took ours to go! I LOVED the interior of the restaurant too! We heard they sell breakfast as well so we will definitely be back to try that before we hit the road again! 10/10 Would definitely recommend! ”
“ If you're looking for that elusive hole-in-the-wall type spot with great food and people then you need to give this place a go. I've been here a few times now, and the food is consistently outstanding. Normally I get a burger because I'm a burger kinda guy, but this time I got the meat and 3 and frankly, it was better than any of my other favorite spots. My wife got the bologna sandwich and my god that thing was good! I accidentally ate half of it... Anyway, North West Grill is now staying at the top of our rotation :-) ”
